FT Consumer Directed Services Support Specialist

Department: Branch Admin
Location: Rolla, MO

Position Summary: The CDS Support Specialist responsible for supporting the CDS (Consumer Directed Services) program with Addus Home Care. This program supports people in the community by allowing them to age in place and receive the care they need to stay happy and healthy at home.

Hours: Full Time: In office: Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm

Essential Duties:

  • Monitors and maintain monthly supervisory call lists
  • Schedules intakes and annual home visits for participants of the CDS program
  • Manages time well to ensure new participant intakes, monthly calls, and annual visits are performed timely
  • Complies with paperwork guidelines, completing and submitting accurate documentation timely to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintains professionalism while assisting with consumer and/or Personal assistant crises or incidents. Accurately document and report information in a timely manner to management and/or Quality Assurance to inform them about program services and assess the individuals’ needs to make appropriate program recommendations
  • Maintains communication with individuals and families in accordance with and to promote Consumer Directed Program regulations, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Communicates regularly with the agency’s CDS Department to ensure accurate representation of department operations
  • Attend and participate in interdepartmental meetings, meetings with funding representatives, and out-of-town networking conferences
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
  • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • High School diploma with some college preferred
  • Familiarity with home and community-based services and regulations, preferred; ability to quickly learn and retain information on programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadline
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required; expected to travel to client homes to complete paperwork and annual on-site visits within provided territory mileage reimbursement is provided
